Thank you Don. I knew you'd appreciate the symbology of the rose. I know it looks a bit coked up but I thought it aptly acknowledged Db's brave and sweet offering to us gang of reprobates. And it does look kinda seasonal. I'm sorry if I offended some sensibilities. (It's a one-off, honest)

I suspect this will be a testing time for you, but regardless, I hope you have a happy christmas and I wish you and your family the best of everything in the new year.
And that goes for everyone else reading this.

Are we really going to make it 24 hrs without this thread being violated?

Cool.

I'll get this in now then...

You would.

Crap, with all those typos, how did you even know what I was babbling about? You sir, clearly know me too well.

Wonder where Rob is--this little display has him throwing up no doubt...

Macs are not known for their ability to function after being immersed in regurgitated stomach contents.

Gives whole new meaning to the phrase "re-boot"

OK, I think that officially begins the hijack of this thread.

Save a Mac, buy 3 perfectly capable PC's and build an entire wireless network for the same price. Commodore Amiga forever.

And on a sarcastic note, not to be confused with the true statement above, vintage telegraph systems blow away modern cell phone and satelite communications. Yeah the new stuff works globally and you can talk and transmit video and data but really, the vintage sound of morse code over steam engine traveled stretches of forgotten dust really give you the communication experience. And 8 tracks blow away CD's, CD's don't even fade out in the middle of a song, magnetic linear media and carved plastic polymer discs are sonically superior. Not many record recorders out there and people running to copy all their 16bit digital 44.1k music to scratch, wobble and rumble nirvana.

Fact, unless you have a linear tracking turntable (where the stylus arm travels straight across the circumference of the disc like it was originally cut. Your stylus is at a false angle and location throughout every part of the album after the first needle drop. So unless you move your stylus with little digital buttons on the front like I used on my old realistic table, you will not be hearing what was being recorded correctly. And then there is the actual removal of sound data from every play, think about it... diamond vs platic....

Then we went backwards with cassette, 15 moving parts just waiting to squeal break and warp. Magnetically twisted little flakes of metal on tape scraped over a magnet.

Did you know the size of the Compact Disc was based on the dimensino of the (Compact) Cassette? The word compact was used to compare the new cassette with the 8 track cassette. Which had to be the worst idea ever besides the mini disc which I thankfully never bought into.

Sorry about that, thanks for letting me share.

Keep coming back, it works if you work it.

Go hug a bearded guy.
